Walter Bachtiger
CEO & FOUNDER
Walter founded VoiceBase in 2010, with the idea of creating wide spread access to spoken information, everywhere. Walter is the companyâs visionary. Raised in Switzerland, he studied data mining and economics, before following his entrepreneurial dreams to the US. Walter is passionate about making access to spoken information fast, low cost and accurate.
Jay Blazensky
CRO & CO-FOUNDER
Jay joined VoiceBase in January 2011. Jay is a results-driven sales, marketing and business development executive, and has been in the communications industry for over 20 + years. With a proven track record in identifying game-changing technologies, and then crafting and launching disruptive SaaS business models to establish a market-leading presence and ultimately âwinâ a new market. Jay played a key role in establishing RingCentral as the leading hosted communications provider, and has a passion for building trusted business relationships.
TONG ZHU
CTO
Tong has over 20 years years of experience in software development. Previously, Tong served as CTO of the analytics department at First Data / Fiserv, as VP of Engineering at Acxiom, as well as other senior engineering management roles in Yahoo and RMS. He is an established leader in AI, Big Data Analytics, cloud computing, application security and site reliability. His commitment to deliver highly scalable speech analytics applications is matched only by his passion for building the most advanced speech recognition technology, which are two critical pillars of Voicebase’s product lines.
Ed Salay
CFO
Ed has over 25 years finance and operations experience, including Ford Motor, Polycom, and Applied Biosystems. He later served as CFO at several startups, and most recently at Jobscience which was acquired by Bullhorn in 2018.
Spencer Lord
Co-Founder & Architect
Spencer was employee number one at VoiceBase in 2010. He was responsible for architecting and building VoiceBaseâs first API instance, which is still being used today on the web application. With 20+ years of design and development experience, Spencer is an expert in speech products built on open source technology.
